The cost of this service is dependent on your request and number of items. A discount is offered if you use the "Customize Function" to pre-design your artwork. There is an extra charge if I have to design your artwork.

Inbound shipping:

Inbound shipping is not included. Insurance, damage or loss and other inbound shipping issues are not the responsibility of ZapWizard.com.

If etching your own items: You will be required to pack and ship your items to ZapWizard.com.

To pre-calculate shipping costs: Use 78620 as the zip code.

The full shipping address is provided via email after you place your order.

This service is available in the USA only.

Outbound shipping:

Outbound shipping from ZapWizard.com is handled normally, and is calculated at the time of checkout.

Laser etched items are sent back to the address listed on your order. Actual shipping cost is calculated and added to your order.

Your Artwork:

The customization program allows to upload images up to 5MB. Please make the largest image you can that is still under that limit. You can layer multiple image or clip art in the program to get the look you want.

Black images with a transparent background work the best. (Unless the item is already black, then use white on transparent) PNG being the best format for this.

Greyscale images may work, but results will vary. I can't be held responsible for bad artwork. 

Text can be added directly in the customization program.

Once your artwork is created, I can only tweak the position or size of graphics. I can't alter the text or images you upload. Please keep that in mind while making your artwork.

Ceramic laser etching spray:

For some materials, a ceramic laser etching spray may be used. This results in dark black permanent finish.

Not an exact science:

Laser etching items is not an exact science. It often requires testing various settings. If etching multiple items, please include extra for testing.

If etching a one of a kind item, please consult with me regarding the item.

Here is some guidelines to good success:

• Black on transparent, or Black on White images work the best.
• White on black is also possible depending on the material base color.
• Greyscale etching is possible on some materials
• Painted, anodized or otherwise coated parts often work very well when etched.
• Wood and real leather work particularly well.

Cancelations:

Any project that has gone through to the proofing process will incur a $5 cancelation fee.
