Installation:
- For safety ensure the blade is in the closed position.
- A T6 Torx bit is required to remove your factory stud (Sold separately)
- Remove the factory thumb stud from your blade.
- Carefully unthread the thumb-stud from the yellow carrier.
- Place the stud into the installation tool (There is a coarse and fine side).
- Apply a small amount of blue thread locker to the threads only
- Tighten the thumb stud against the blade.
- Clean off any thread locker that may have spilled out.
- Clean the surface of the thumb-stud using the a cotton cloth.
Polishing:
- Remove the thumb-stud and thread it onto the included grey polishing jig.
- Place the jig into a drill chuck.
- While spinning the jig and stud, lightly press it against a cotton cloth.
- You may apply some polishing compound a cotton cloth to aid in polishing.
- 1200 grit sandpaper may be used to remove deep scratches
- Finish with 5000-7000 grit sand paper
