Designed to fit the Solo RT 8x36 Monocular
Note: This fits only the “RT” model of the 8x36. Double check that your Solo RT has two focus rings and the cylindrical feature in the middle. Some older RT models do not have two focus rings.
Description:
The Solo RT Monocular comes with a belt clip, but no tripod adapter. By adding this you can use it as a compact spotting scope.
Features:
- Professionally printed in a SLS Nylon 12 process

- #1/4-20 threaded brass insert allows you to attach the monocular to any tripod.
- Built in Arca compatible baseplate for use with clamp style tripods.
- Secures directly to the monocular using the same screws as the belt clip.
- Can be optionally installed with the belt clip still attached.
- Built-in front support to ensure the monocular is held steady.
- Weighs just 0.53oz (15grams).
- Made from durable Nylon 12.
- Water resistant.
Design:
I made this design for a friend, but you may find it useful.
- The natural color of the Nylon 12 SLS power is gray.
- This material will darken and smooth out with use or exposure to skin oils.
- Dying may be added for an additional cost (Click here).
The nylon material can be dyed or painted.
- Dying:
- Rit Dye or any Nylon compatible fabric dye may be used.
- It is not possible to make the colors brighter with dye.
- Black, Dark green, Dark Red, Dark blue may be achieved
- Painting:
- Any plastic compatible paint may also be used, apply in very thin light coats until completely covered. Heavy application may affect tolerances.
- I have found Ace Hardware Matte Enamel paints to work particularly well.

The process:
Each batch of parts is printed on a Formlabs Fuse1 or Fuse1+. Taking 24 to 32 hours per batch. The parts are then cleaned, and if needed dyed and made ready for packing.
